Despite the 70-year-old actor's claims that he has made every effort to honor Fawcett's requests, the University has hired a private investigator to track down the painting after being tipped off it may be in the O'Neal's possession.
What source leaked these bold accusations? Ryan O'Neal's OWN reality show!
The valuable portrait can be seen above the actor's bed in the FIRST EPISODE of Ryan and Tatum: The O'Neals.
Here's a tip for any amateur thief who's also seeking fame: If you're going to steal something and get away with it, don't let camera's for your reality show capture it hanging above your bed!

Even though that is pret-ty undeniable evidence, his own daughter even gives him away! In Tatum O'Neal's new book, Found: A Daughter's Journey Home, she mentions the portrait in question, writing:
"On every wall, there are pictures of us and the rest of the family in our golden days. The original poster from Paper Moon, Andy Warhol's portrait of Farrah."
We'd say the evidence is stacked pretty high against Mr. O'Neal, but yet his reps still claim, "All of Farrah's wishes expressed in her will have been fulfilled."
Innerestingly enough, she didn't leave her Ryan ANYTHING in her will either! Maybe he figured she owed him something and thought people wouldn't notice if he just took this little, tiny, $30 million piece of artwork?
Let's hope Ryan fesses up before things get ugly for him!
