McConaughey, Worthington And Butler Starring As American Soldiers In Iraq On Thunder Run

Iraqs pretty hot, right? We're sure it won't be hard to find an excuse for these guys to take their shirts off! LOLz!
Matthew McConaughey, Sam Worthington and Gerard Butler are teaming up for an all CG 3D action thriller called Thunder From Down Under Run.
The movie is an adaptation of the novel Thunder Run - The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad and will follow American soldiers on the front lines during the three day assault on Baghdad at the start of the Iraq war in 2003.
Sounds inneresting, but we're a little skeptical about the use of CG and 3D. Seems a little bit to glamorous considering the producers want to paint “the harrowing picture of the soldiers on the front lines and the realities of modern warfare.”
Filmmakers plan on utilizing the motion capture technology used in Avatar to create images that will "appeal to the Call of Duty world" with "a stylized look" that won't have a "video game world feel".
That's a little hard to believe when a video game is referenced in the film's description, but hey, we'll wait and see before we judge.
One of the producers told sources:
“What we capture in our cameras will be them. It’ll have a stylized effect to it but we are shooting them. We’re not ageing them down like Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy, it’ll be them for two hours in a highly intense tank battle. The scope of the movie is going to feel huge and the goal is to appeal to the Call of Duty world. It’s not going to have a video game world feel but to have a stylized look to it."
Motion capture technology sure has come a long way since Tom Hanks' Polar Express! Are U looking forward to this war flick?
